Scaling What Works:

The Human–AI Process Behind the BusinessWiser System 

Every BusinessWiser system and publication—whether booklet, framework, diagnostic, article, video, podcast, or newsletter—is grounded in four decades of executive leadership, pressure-tested through real-world SMB implementation, refined through a rotating advisory council of product-based business owners, and responsibly systematized using AI—not to invent strategy, but to scale what already works.

 

After retiring from executive leadership in 2018, I launched a consulting practice focused on helping product-based SMBs navigate growth, cash flow pressure, and operational complexity. Over time, this work spanned 50+ SMB engagements, delivering practical insight into how businesses actually behave under real operating conditions.

 

While effective, the consulting model exposed a fundamental limitation:
proven thinking could only reach one business at a time.

 

To broaden validation and deepen market insight, I formed the BusinessWiser Advisory Circle—a structured, rotating group of manufacturing and wholesale business owners with 20+ employees and $2.5M–$25M in annual revenue.

 

The Advisory Circle operated on a quarterly rotation model, maintaining approximately 20 active members at any given time while introducing four new members each quarter. Over nearly seven years, this resulted in:

  • ~20 active members continuously

  • ~100 Advisory Circle alumni

  • representation across multiple product-based industries and operating profiles

 

This structure ensured frameworks were not shaped by a small, static group, but instead refined through ongoing exposure to new perspectives, challenges, and operating realities.

 

Through this combined work—across consulting engagements and Advisory Circle collaboration—a clear conclusion emerged:

 

The frameworks worked—but the delivery model did not scale.

 

To expand impact without diluting quality or creating owner dependency, I made a deliberate transition away from consulting and advisory services and toward a digital publishing model.

 

Effective December 31, 2025, both my consulting practice and the BusinessWiser Advisory Circle were formally phased out.

 

This decision allows all effort to be focused exclusively on delivering battle-tested, consultant-grade business optimization systems through digital frameworks and tools.

 

That transition created a new challenge.

 

I am a business executive and systems builder—not a writer by trade. Documenting decades of experience, validated frameworks, and real-world nuance into clear, structured digital systems would have taken years using traditional methods.
