Cash Flow Creates Options™
Forty-Plus Years of Business Experience. A Goal of Helping 10,000 Businesses.
My career began in management and progressed into financial, operating and executive leadership, business ownership and advisory work.
Across those experiences, I learned that effort alone does not ensure business success. Owners can work hard, grow sales and report profits while still finding themselves short of cash.
Understanding why requires looking across the business: how pricing, margins, customer payments, inventory, supplier commitments, capital investment and growth decisions work together.
That understanding shaped my career—and ultimately led to BusinessWiser™.
Today, my goal is to help 10,000 businesses benefit from the experience, practical tools and management methods I’ve accumulated.
I want my contribution to extend beyond the companies I could personally lead or advise. BusinessWiser is how I’m working toward that goal.
Experience Built Inside Real Businesses
My experience spans major corporations, entrepreneurial companies, and small and mid-sized businesses.
Early management roles at Mobil Oil, Mattel and PepsiCo’s Taco Bell business helped build my foundation in financial management and business operations. Later, I served as CFO, Managing Director, President and CEO in smaller businesses, and founded or managed six companies.
Over the course of my career, my responsibilities have included finance, accounting, strategic planning, credit, information technology, sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, human resources and general management.
Working across these functions taught me to look beyond individual departments and financial statements. A decision that improves one measure can create demands elsewhere. More sales can require more inventory and receivables. Higher profit does not necessarily produce the cash needed to fund expansion.
Owners need to understand those relationships when deciding what their businesses can support.
That experience is the foundation of my work today.
Working Alongside Owners and Management Teams
For seven years, I advised owner-led product businesses through more than 50 consulting engagements.
Working alongside owners and leadership teams, I helped improve financial visibility, evaluate decisions and address practical financial and operating challenges.
I also established a rotating SMB Advisory Circle. Over nearly seven years, more than 120 product-business owners contributed through working sessions, surveys, questionnaires and tool reviews.
Their feedback helped shape BusinessWiser’s frameworks, diagnostics, terminology and implementation resources. It brought the realities of running an owner-led business into the development process.
Together, my consulting work and Advisory Circle input provided insights spanning more than 170 product-based businesses.
The businesses differed, but recurring patterns emerged. Owners often had financial reports without a clear explanation of how the results fit together. They could see sales and profit, yet still struggle to understand why growth required more financing, which improvements deserved attention or what the business could afford to do next.
Those experiences reinforced a central lesson:
Financial information becomes more valuable when management can connect it to decisions and action.
Why I Created BusinessWiser™
“Most SMBs don’t have a cash flow problem. They have a decision problem.”
That statement expresses a central idea behind BusinessWiser: cash flow is influenced by decisions throughout the business.
Cash shortages are real. Understanding them requires examining profitability, working capital, capital deployment, growth requirements and the operating conditions behind the numbers.
What generated the company’s Net Cash Flow result? How efficiently is working capital being used? Does additional revenue contribute enough cash? Can the business fund its growth plans?
Which financial strengths should management protect? Which potential improvements require investigation?
BusinessWiser connects those questions with a practical management process: financial analysis, forecasting, driver assessment, priorities, action planning, reporting, accountability and review.
The purpose is to help owners understand the business more clearly, evaluate their choices and lead informed action.
From Individual Advisory Work to Broader Access
Individual consulting limited how many businesses I could serve.
I wanted the tools and methods developed through my career to remain useful beyond those engagements—and available to owners who might never hire a consultant.
At the end of 2025, C-Suite2Go LLC, the company behind BusinessWiser, transitioned from consulting to digital publishing and business systems development. The Advisory Circle also concluded its work.
Today, BusinessWiser provides practical financial tools, management frameworks, Executive Guides, implementation resources, articles, podcasts and videos for owner-led product businesses.
My goal of helping 10,000 businesses is the reason for this broader approach—and for making the resources available at affordable prices.
Owners can begin with the complimentary One-Page Net Cash Flow Driver Report, explore the published insights, or choose a more comprehensive starting point through the Mastery System or Accelerator.
Two Ways to Put My Experience to Work
Cash Flow Mastery System
The complete self-directed system brings together six integrated frameworks, four Executive Tools and nine Executive Guides.
Its analytical core, CASHfloWiser™, provides ten financial reporting and analysis views connecting profitability, cash generation, cash-flow quality, working capital, capital deployment, sustainable growth and improvement sensitivities.
The wider system supports forecasting, driver assessment, planning, management reporting, meetings, financial stewardship and business valuation.
You and your management team apply the tools and lead implementation.
Cash Flow Accelerator Program
For owners who prefer to begin with my independent interpretation of their financial results, the Accelerator adds a company-specific executive analysis.
You receive a complete 15-section report with supporting appendices, a prioritized 90-day action plan, a 20–30-minute recorded explanation, one email follow-up covering up to five questions, and permanent access to the complete Mastery System.
I provide the analysis and recommended priorities. Your management team validates operating causes, makes decisions and leads execution.
Done For You Plus Do It Yourself
This philosophy defines how BusinessWiser puts experience into practice.
Done For You: I’ve developed the financial tools, management frameworks, forecasting models, dashboards, planning templates and implementation guidance. With the Accelerator, I also prepare your company’s initial financial analysis and action plan.
Do It Yourself: you and your management team supply and validate the information, investigate findings, evaluate alternatives, assign responsibilities and execute.
You receive a developed structure to work from, with guidance for introducing the resources in a manageable sequence.
Your team brings the company knowledge and management judgment needed to apply it.
My Philosophy
Business systems should be practical enough to use in the normal course of running a company.
Financial information should explain performance and improve decisions. Plans should establish responsibilities and lead to action. Accountability should help people follow through. Growth should be evaluated for what it requires as well as what it promises.
Cash flow should be understood as a result of decisions throughout the business, with management taking responsibility for the choices that influence it.
And the experience behind useful business tools should be accessible to more owners.
That philosophy guides my work.
The Legacy I Want to Build
After more than 40 years in business, I have deep respect for the responsibility owners carry—for their companies, employees, customers and families.
I want my legacy to extend beyond the positions I held and the businesses I personally served. I want more owners to be able to use what I learned.
Helping 10,000 businesses is the goal I’m working toward.
That contribution might begin with a complimentary report that helps an owner understand a financial result. It might develop through a management team applying the Mastery System. Or it might begin with an Accelerator analysis that brings financial relationships and priorities into clearer focus.
The purpose is consistent: help owners make better decisions, strengthen their businesses and create more options.
Options to invest, support growth, manage uncertainty, build long-term value and improve their own financial flexibility.
If BusinessWiser helps you put that experience to work in your company, it is fulfilling the purpose behind its creation.
Thank you for visiting.
